These are the Shopify email and text apps to try, in order. Start with Shopify’s own app, which sends both. Move on when you need abandoned checkout flows, or when text is the message that brings people back.
We choose the apps ourselves. Paid spots are always marked “Sponsored”.
What to install first
Install Shopify Messaging first. It is free to install, made by Shopify, and it sends email and text from the same place. The first 10,000 emails each month are free.
Move to Klaviyo when you want a welcome series and an email when someone leaves checkout. Klaviyo is free to install and also sends text.
Move the text side to Postscript when texts, not emails, are how you bring buyers back. Keep one app in charge of email so people are not emailed twice.
